The GRIP PAD is a shield that offers a target in the shape of a player’s shoulders, armpit and torso. Covered in mesh material, it has the look and feel of a jersey. Jersey numbers provide a visual landmark for eye focus. Perfect target to shoot the hands, get a violent grip and shed the blocker. Shoulder strap allows player to wear the shield and keep the hands free to take on the defender. Edge Rushers can strike a blow, use their hands to grip, control and shed the blocker to hunt down the ball carrier. Use this pad to win the battle on the Edge! This shield developed for Coach Mike Vrabel!
“The coaching point is to shoot the hands and set the edge.”
