Using this mat, work on a progression starting with three-quarter speed “form” tackling to full-speed knock back tackling. It allows a tackler to put a ball carrier on his back under safe conditions. Use it to teach a variety of tackling techniques including: head-up tackling, profile tackling and angle tackling. Helps teach arm wrap, leg drive, hip explosion and full speed run through. Great tool for Defensive Backs, Linebackers and Defensive Ends! Using this mat, defensive players can get lots of repetitions. The mat is 26” , thick 72” wide and 96” longbig enough to allow a tackler to get full body extension across the top of the mat without touching the ground.
